LAMINATED ROLLER BLINDS

Laminated Roller Blinds give you the option to use virtually any fabric to produce a roller blind. By using curtain, voiles and upholstery fabrics you can exactly match or coordinate your home furnishings. Laminating is a combination of two fabrics being fused together to give the main fabric more rigidity so it can then be made into a roller blind. There are cheaper ways of producing a customers own fabric blind by treating with chemicals and such like, but in the twenty years i have been in this business the finish Laminating gives you is far superior to any kind of treatment to the fabric. The main reason for this, is that, when the fabric is dipped or sprayed with a stiffening agent it will react by either shrinking slightly or more often than not when it is fitted the fabric will pucker and not hang properly. Laminating however does not add treatment of any kind to the fabric so it hangs as fabric should. The lining added to the back of the fabric comes in white and cream and can be light resistant if required. These types of blind have many more finishes available than the standard roller blind which include made to measure upholstered pelmets of any shape or size, Chintz fabric used as trim e.g pleating, double piping, frilled edges and many shaped finishes available for the base of your blind. See pelmets at the bottom of this page.
