Wood Venetian Blinds

We have a huge range of Woodslat Venetian blinds for all budgets and tastes. They start with our simulated wood, you then step up to the stained wood, cedar wood, painted wood and the highly grained real Oak or Ash finishes. The slat widths vary depending on the product chosen but are available in 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 70mm. A coloured decorative tape can be added instead of ladder cords, to bring together other decorative features in your room. As well as the large choice of stock colours you have the option of a custom painted finish using one of the colours from the Dulux or farrow & Ball paint ranges. This gives you over 5,000 choices and the chance to match your decor exactly.

The Luxaflex Colonial Wood Venetian blind, is the nearest to wooden shutters but in a Venetian blind form. The reason being, the slatting used has a bevelled shape the same as wooden shutters, it also has a slat width of 68mm, much wider than the average wood blind so it may not work in a window with a narrow recess depth.

All our wood blinds are finished with a decorative pelmet in the same colour as the blind, if the blind is fitted outside the recess the pelmet will have mitred returns to give a neat finish to the ends of the blind. Wooden blinds are often used in bay window situations and we also mitre the pelmet into the bay unlike some companies who just butt the pelmets together.

There are several ways we can control the blinds the standard way is with a cord to raise the blind and cords to tilt the slats. We also have battery and electrical control systems available. The battery remote control system is for the tilt only and a cord is still used to raise and lower. This system can be seen working in our video to the left of this page. The full electrical version gives you the tilt function and the raise and lower function via a remote control. Most of our controls are now RTS which means radio signals work the blind, so in theory you could be in another room press the remote and the blind would operate. The infra red system is still available but like everything else these days technology moves on.
