If you have already read the previous page on the Duette it will not come as any suprise to you that the Plisse is the Duettes poor relation especially when its used in the severe temperatures that are generated in a conservatory roof space.
The plisse single pleat though when used in the standard fabric range can reduce cost on a project and it is the roof blind that most suppliers will show you. If you can imagine folding a piece of paper to form a fan shape, that is the look of the PLISSÉ. The system consists of a fixed head-rail, fitted to either the apex or top of the conservatory roof, wires feed down through the blind into another head-rail, which in turn is fitted to the lower roof end. A tensioning device is then adjusted to tighten the wires and this holds the blind up to follow the incline of the ceiling, shaped blinds have side wires which normally fit to the glazing bars.
The fabric has holes punched into it and wires run through these holes, it is very important to note that these wires are visible running through the fabric when the blind is pulled up, unlike the Duette fabric where the wires are hidden within the cavity of the fabric.
This blind is the most cost effective but bare in mind that the performance and appearance, is not as good as the Duette.
Only applies to areas of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London that are within 50 miles of Marlow.
