Conservatory Roof Blinds - Pinoleum

Conservatory Roof Blinds - Pinoleum

Pinoleum will not be as effective on sun control as the two options we have already covered, as it tends to filter light rather than stop it but gives a superb cosmetic effect, which some clients have described as giving a cooling ambience.

The woven wood design has a herringbone tape sewn to its edges and it operates on a similar tensioning system to the Duette and Plisse. If you look at image 1 below you will see that the slight gaps between the wooden reeds let light through and of course will allow  heat through as well. If you have a very hot Conservatory South facing i personally would not use the Pinoleum blind as it will give minimal effect in keeping the inside temperature level down. If however you do not have the problems with heat then the Pinoleum system may work for you.

Pinoleum will be the more expensive option out of the three products we have looked at so far. As far as colours go  there are a stock range of twelve or so shades but we can if required custom paint the blinds up in any Dulux or farrow & Ball painted finishes.

Please note that when a pinoleum roof blind is retracted back of the window they will stack back like roman blinds and room will be required for this where the roof meets the side windows. In some Conservatories this can be a problem take a look at image 2 below.
