The Duette in my opinion, is the best type of roof blind and side blind available and we use it consistently on many of our projects.
The Duette design uses double glazing technology to give incredible thermal and acoustic qualities and its honeycombe structure(see large image to the right ), when fitted onto a roof or window acts as a blanket of insulation, which keeps heat out in the summer and in, in the winter. My clients never have a bad word to say about this product it's honeycomb design allows us to use fewer wires to hold the blind up and one of its biggest selling points is the finish, the reason being that all the wires, when the blind is pulled up, are concealed within the honeycomb fabric, so all you see is the pleating, not the wires.
The system consists of a fixed head-rail, fitted to either the apex or top of the conservatory roof, wires feed down through the blind into another head-rail which in turn is fitted to the lower roof end. A tensioning device is adjusted to tighten the wires and this holds the blind up to follow the incline of the ceiling. Shaped blinds have side wires which normally fit to the glazing bars.
The Luxaflex Duette collection has a comprehensive range of colours and variations. The pleat itself comes in a 25mm width and a 32mm width both of which can be used on roofs and side windows. Also in the new collection is a 64mm pleat size which can only be used on side windows.
